Great food & great friends

   How crazy is this: I attended tonight's dine-around for JAS (Japan-America Society) and reconnected with my friends Miyo & Gerry! I met Gerry in my very first Japanese language class in 2003, and around that time, the two were married. Somehow we lost touch a couple of years later. And tonight we were able to catch up—it felt as if no time had passed at all. What a fun surprise to see them! They were so sweet and treated me to dinner, and invited me over to their home for udon soon.
   Thanks to Miyo & Gerry, and thanks to JAS for facilitating our friendship, and for getting my foster dog adopted. BEST. CLUB. EVER. LOL!
