Life as an art form

Excerpt from a story about competitive open-water swimming from Outside magazine (aka adventure porn). Reminds me of my frigid experience getting dive certified off the coast of Sarasota. We were miserably cold, and I actually thought we might get hypothermia. It was painfully cold--and that was with not one but TWO wetsuits, a full and a shorty. It was then and there that I swore I'd never do cold water diving. And these people do it for FUN!
