Quick sketch of a garter snake for #inktober - I rescued one from the street at dusk last night! Saw a dark shape on the road and wondered if it was rope or a snake. It was a snake! The poor thing panicked when it saw me, but couldn't quite climb the steep curb to escape into the lawn. I didn't want it to get hurt, so I picked it up by the tail and set it free. I love snakes!
