If I needed to be thankful for something today, this is a good one: my neighborhood didn't flood during the storm Sunday night. Apparently Westport wasn't so lucky! I did get caught in the rain coming home that night, and there was so much water blowing across the highway that I couldn't go more than 15 mph without hydroplaning. Saw a few small cars get pushed off the road. No fun. But almost worth it for the incredible lightning show! (Not sure whom to credit for the photos; they were posted on FB.)
