Freeport & Waterville, Maine

"Oh, sweet mystery of life at last I've found you..."

Kate & Gayle dig in!
This morning was kinda lazy. (Not me, frankly; I was up at 5:30.)
I finally convinced everyone that we needed to head to Freeport for lobster rolls & blueberry ice cream. So we did. And it was gooooood. The daughter of the LL Bean founder opened a lobster roll shop in Freeport, and I have to say, it was the best I've ever had. (The secret is the toasted bread and the salt & vinegar chips.) The weather was gorgeous, and after some shopping we headed back to the lake, then to visit Aunt Stella. Stella...STELLA!!! She has a beautiful home in Waterville.

I'm going back to Maine when these are ripe.
