Today I got the best birthday/Christmas present I could have asked for: Wylie (who is now called Yoshi) got adopted by a wonderful family!!! They picked him up today at my house so they could surprise their 6 year old daughter, who has leukemia. Wish I could have seen her face. I hope she remembers this holiday forever! My house seems so quiet suddenly—Aki & Taylor are kinda bored. I'll miss Yoshi a lot, but couldn't be happier for him & for the Johnsons. After almost 35 years, I FINALLY saw "It's a Wonderful Life" for the first time on Friday night, and today I felt like running through the streets shouting like a crazy person. Yoshi celebrated with a good roll on the rug. And the three dogs spent all day today playing together outside. It's like they knew he was leaving & wanted one last hurrah.
