more spring flowers

This evening I was back at Antioch Park for a sunset run with the mutts. There were tons of people out to enjoy the spectacular weather & spring blooms. (Not surprisingly, I took a few more photos. No one can say I didn't get my money's worth out of this camera!)
I wish my yard were more like a park, but then again, it's nice
to visit & have someone else take care of all the upkeep.
A strange green flower which Mom correctly identified as a lenten rose:
And nearby, and even stranger green flowered tree!
Mom got this one too: it's a dogwood.
The Bradford pears are at their peak and the blossoms are striking in the setting sun:
As are the magnolias, now with a carpet of petals forming under them:
The shrubs & redbud trees have awoken in just the last few days:
I've never appreciated the springtime in KC & abundance of beauty around me as much as I have this year. It's amazing the things you notice when you're looking for them.
