My team had an offsite lunch today at Grand Street Cafe. I will always remember Grand Street fondly because it was where the relocation coordinator from Hallmark took me to lunch when I was out here apartment-hunting in preparation for my move to Kansas City. That was almost 13 years ago! Hard to believe. Impressive, too, that Grand Street continues to be so good. We've gone there for work on several occasions. Today's spicy ahi tartare and soba noodles were delicious, and beautifully presented! (The brown shape on the noodles is some sort of flat mushroom. And the green dots are wasabi creme fraiche.)
It's one of my favorite restaurants. Despite the poor location of restrooms and the 80s wallpaper.
