Food heaven: the Kansas City edition

Kansas City is a sleeping giant when it comes to great cuisine. (And I'm not just talking about Barbeque! Believe it or not, there's a lot more to eat here... and most of the other stuff is better than the BBQ.) Since I've been back on the dating scene I've had the opportunity to try a LOT of places. As they say, "a girl's gotta eat!" So here, in no particular order, are some of my favorites:

Extra Virgin (by chef Michael Smith) for amazing tapas.
Try the hanger steak. And everything else.
La Bodega: Ditto on the amazing tapas...
     and out-of-this-world sangria!
Taste, OP's best gourmet small plates
Spin! Neopolitan Pizza: Spicy sausage + apples + glazed pecans.
Pizza Bella: Leek pizza, or something more classic.
     With the brussels sprouts appetizer.
Grand Street Cafe: Tuna tartare, chicken spring rolls, pretzel fondue,
key lime cheesecake or chocolate flourless torte.
Broadmoor Bistro: technical school recognized by the James Beard
Foundation. Delectable multi-course menu at an extremely
     reasonable price!
Murray's Ice Cream: best. ice. cream. ever.
Rozelle Court at the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum: great food
     & amazing art.
Thai Place: best pad thai, crab rangoon & thom yum soup. Ever.
Sushi House or Kato for the best sushi, Kokoro Maki House for
     good, cheap & fast sushi.
Blue Koi: chicken with black bean sauce over brown rice.
Blanc Burger: You'll feel like you're in LA. It's better than BRGR.
Dos Reales for great margaritas, chips & salsa & guacamole.
Westside Local for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients & unique beers.
Marina Grog & Galley for lobster & scallops.
Fresher than Fresh Snowcones for awesome flavor combos.
R Bar for drinks in a secluded spot.
Jardine's for eating in the dark with great live Jazz.
Cafe Provence for French food.
(Aixois is good, too. I wasn't faking for that TV show.)
C. Jack's Cafe for creamy tomato soup. (Ditto for Panera Bread.)
Fun bars with good food: The Drop, The Cashew, Sol Cantina.
Trezo Mare for seafood.
Salty Iguana is my guilty pleasure for Mexican, and Fric & Frac
for jalapeno burgers with cheese & bacon.

My want to try list:
Justus Drugstore
Cafe Trio
