Yesterday & today, the bi-annual Hallmark Creative Leadership Symposium is being held here at Starlight Theater, just steps away from the KC Zoo.It was odd to see the seats empty; they were packed the last couple of times I've been here, for the Stevie Wonder concert & the Chris Rock show. Our event was held indoors, in the backstage area, and we had an illustrious list of speakers, including Dave Schenone from Nike (a crowd favorite & an amazing storyteller), Soraya Darabi (27 year old social media expert), Ron Pompei (whose firm Pompei AD designs stores for Anthropologie & Urban Outfitters), and the new director of the Nelson Atkins museum, whose name I'm not even going to TRY to spell without assistance! More on the symposium later... my brain is still on inspiration overload!
