I'm still hashing out my new year's resolutions. One must certainly be not to begrudge all the thousands of new people who have joined my gym and filled its parking lot and crowded me out of my favorite classes, though I know they'll have dropped out in a couple of months. (Sigh.)
• Learning to snowboard (I've already started, and I'm pathetic, but why turn back now??) I can't let a little thing like a crushed coccyx deter me. 'Til then, at least I can drool over the designs, can't I? Oh, man... when I get to the point where I want to buy one of these babies, it's going to be very difficult to choose! Eye candy to the max.
So far I'm thinking I'm going with:
• Keeping up with Scuba. After a couple of great experiences, I am really getting over my fear and I truly enjoy it. It may be time to invest in a regulator, BC, and a decent CAMERA.• Learning to snowboard (I've already started, and I'm pathetic, but why turn back now??) I can't let a little thing like a crushed coccyx deter me. 'Til then, at least I can drool over the designs, can't I? Oh, man... when I get to the point where I want to buy one of these babies, it's going to be very difficult to choose! Eye candy to the max.
• Doing some serious spring cleaning and getting rid of anything I don't use from my closets, basement and garage. Ruthless sorting of books and clothes. Big garage sale. Film at 11.
• Possibly repainting the upstairs bath; the color wasn't what I really intended. I like it as a friend but I'm not in love with it.
• Tackling my grandiose landscaping plan to turn my backyard into a park, especially if Dad will come out and help me move grass, dirt and rocks. (Hint, hint, Dad!) Last spring was super rainy, and summer was super hot, and I wimped out.
• Helping Mr. Taylor lose 3-4 lbs. The extra holiday treats & the running hiatus have not been kind to his waistline. Here he is in his leaner days, June 2010. I was pretty shocked when I saw this photo. His weight crept up slowly and we will get it back down.
I'll keep thinking. Surely I can do more...
