Good morning, mountain!

This is the view from my bed. Seriously. We're cozied up in a gorgeous condo at the base of peak 9, conveniently just steps from the lift. Maureen has definitely spoiled me this time.
Between the 2 last-minute runs on Thursday & 8 hours (minus a quick lunch) of riding yesterday, I've covered over 26,000 vertical feet: over 5 miles!
And as there is little fresh powder & the slopes are hard-packed, I am feeling every inch of those miles today. Turns out it's tougher to carve into ice than powder. Turns must be very precise. And ice is fast. This, for a still-relatively-new boarder means quite a few very hard falls, a few head-bumps on the mountain, and a couple of nice bruises.
I am probably crazy, but it is just so much FUN that I can't help myself!
My aching body is already getting ready to go out again. Yahoo!
