Remember Billboards

   Today started out like any other... until I arrived at work and found an seven-foot-tall poster of "myself" waiting for me in my office. Alexis was nearly life-sized. My friend Monte struck again!

   I say "again" because this isn't the first time he has planted a billboard in my office to surprise me. Back in 2006 when we worked together on the Flex team, he took tiny drawings I'd done of Godzilla & Mothra and blew them up to actual-Godzilla-and-Mothra-size, complete with a foam core cityscape, and piled them in my cubicle for me to discover. It was such a display that I couldn't get in!

   I forget the occasion... My birthday? Anniversary? Announcement that I had accepted a position and was leaving the team? (Cause for celebration for sure, right?) Whatever it was, it was super cool for him to orchestrate it, and it just goes to show you how fun (and dangerous) it is to work with talented, creative friends!
