The HK show at the Japanese American Museum in LA is totally amazing & well worth the trip! It's right in the heart of Little Tokyo (aka "Japangeles") so grab a maccha boba and some azuki ice cream while you're at it!
They show consisted of the history of the iconic character and many of the products the bear her image. The second half red bunch of famous artist paying tribute to her in their respective styles:

Osamu Watanabe
Kitty White (aka Hello Kitty turned 40 on November 1, so it seemed right that I visit to help her (us) celebrate.
