Service with a Smile

   I just got the NICEST message from one of my former Hallmark Creative Director peers. It has been a sh**ty week with 165 more creatives laid off. I'm contacting the ones I'm closest to and sending a summary of what I've learned and what they should do next, trying to help relieve their fears and feel less overwhelmed. Then I received this message, which made my day.

   It sucks to leave, and it sucks to stay... none of this is easy on anyone. This is all the encouragement I need to keep doing what I'm doing. Some of my friends have been at Hallmark for over THIRTY years... nearly twice as long as me. We'll get by with a little help from our friends. :)
