Meet Lefty, a manta ray at Keauhou Bay. They put on quite a show for us last night as we sat around "the campfire."
Individual mantas can be identified by the spots on their white bellies. They may be 20 feet wide (sometimes even larger), though they are incredibly sleek and graceful in the water, and no danger to humans (they are a danger to plankton!). Truly an incredible experience, and a great crew from Jack's.
Just overweight yourself--seriously--because an 800-1200 lb animal zooming right over you created quite a current. Divers were flapping in the breeze!
