Hawaii sunrises

    I didn't take my "good" camera out much on this most recent trip to Hawaii, since I was more focused on work than excursions. But I did take advantage of the view of Waikiki from the 26th floor of the Makai tower to snag some sunset shots. "Makai" means "to the sea" in Hawaiian; "mauka is "to the mountains". So I had a better view of the canal running through Honolulu, and the ocean to the right of the balcony where I'm standing. Hawaii truly has some of the most outstanding sunrises and sunsets I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Even when the shots are more urban than pastoral, you just can't take a bad photo in Hawaii!
