Kelly came over for a Memorial Day barbecue today, and Taylor is still smiling! (Despite us not sharing any of the bratwurst or Texas caviar.)
Today, all the fireworks were in my yard… The new dahlias that I bought at the Overland Park farmers market on Saturday, and my favorite lilies which return every year.
The whole neighborhood is alive and beautiful. I had kicked off the day with a 5 mile run, and felt surprisingly good, particularly considering the high humidity. I passed through South Lake Park and enjoy the view, and the birdwatching. Saw many Canada geese, bluejays, and a rare white-creates night heron!
