Catching up on yesterday's #inktober drawing, here are a couple of veiled chameleons. (Continuing the reptile theme I started earlier today.)
My first pet after college was a baby chameleon. It was so small that it could completely fit on my pinky finger with room to spare. Absolutely adorable! But they don't yet have the wondrous color change ability of the adults.
My chameleon, Zeus, eventually grew very large and lived past seven years old. Magnificent creature! personally I wouldn't get another because these guys are prey animals, so they never warm up to you like a dog or cat. But I learned a lot from him, and truly appreciated his beauty and unique abilities!
