Xmas Xchange with Kelly

Kelly & I exchanged Christmas gifts as soon as I returned from Ohio. I was really excited to give him this piece of artwork by Dick Daniels. Something about it just seemed like Kelly. (Given that he's from OK, the southern BBQ theme felt right.)
And he really outdid himself with gifts for me... the art of Charley Harper book, a Mute Math t-shirt & live concert DVD, Polysics & Lightning Seeds CDs. Between these & the "Jackie Brown" DVD & an awesome art book he gave me for my birthday, I ought to have plenty to keep me busy for a while! And Gypsy is content to get a box.

this is SMART.

So, unlike most (pretty much all) bands, Mutemath allows photos & video to be taken at their shows. And do you know why that's so smart? Because instead of being all uptight about it, the band is getting TONS of FREE, AMAZING photos of themselves in concert! And they're displaying them on their website, flickr, and twitter (with credit to the photographers)! So they're getting free publicity and promoting goodwill with their fans, who love to show off their images.
I tip my hat to them. (Or I would, if I wore one.)

Mutemath sketches

The couple in front of Nina & me during the Beaumont show. We could find a way to see the show whenever he stopped moving. (But he was drunk, so he was moving a lot.) They must have been newlyweds, too, because they were all over each other. Gag.
(Yes. That IS buttcrack. A generous helping of it. It was all too real.)
We interrupt this drawing of a nerd for a...
At the end of the shows, the guys pretty much went nuts.
Paul was hopping on top of & flipping over on his keyboard:
And Darren was...
