Floundering

I already have 2 snowboards. I don't need a third. EXCEPT that I kinda do. Mine aren't designed specifically for powder. And Steamboat has lots of their famed "champagne powder". And also, the Burton Fish looks like a Japanese carp banner. Clearly I should have picked a hobby with much less interesting gear...
And speaking of fish, my Aunt Marty sent me these photos today. Apparently her store carries Parrotfish. To eat. Weird! Although I tried Triggerfish at a restaurant in Charleston, SC a couple of years ago. Meh.

Where was I? Oh yeah, snowboarding. I am very excited for my second trip to Steamboat. The obvious difference is that this time I am actually a snowboarder, despite my pathetic day 1 and day 2 in Steamboat two years ago. (And my somewhat-triumphant breakthrough at Snow Creek.)
What I love about the sport is the beauty of the mountains, the fresh clean air, spending tons of time outside, the camaraderie of my best friends, exercising eight hours a day, and a level of sleep just one notch below full-on-do-you-think-she-might-be-dead-coma. The pre-trip anticipation is great too. I love creating my playlist for the slopes. Mostly big beats, to get me revved up. It makes me ride better.
