Today turned out to be a fantastic day for DNJ. It did rain a little in the morning, but it stopped early and the temperature stayed nice & cool. Over 1,000 people showed up with their dogs, and we met a surprising number of shibas! We also met up with: Renee (with Rosie & Boo), Madeline & Wayne (with Bruce), Jennifer K, John R, Ashley Y (with Bandit), Robin, Jana, Hannah (with Bullet; last year's 3rd place finisher)...among tons of new friends.

RESULT: Thanks to Taylor's automatic supersonic hypnotic funky fresh running, we placed 2nd in the 1-mile run! I was told that I was the first person ever to place while running with multiple dogs. Aki & I also placed 2nd last year (prior to adopting Taylor). I'm thinking the third year could be the charm, if I adopt an even faster dog to pull all three of us along...
And I just have to say: CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT TINY LITTLE WHITE DOG BEAT US?!?! I am telling you what, that is no dog. She is greased lightning. Part speed demon. I have never seen such a small dog run so far, so fast. And to add insult to injury, she was wearing a tiny KC Chiefs cheerleader outfit. She's even better accessorized than my dogs!!!! LOL
