Sluggrrr!

Sluggrrr (the Royals mascot) & KC Wolf (Chiefs mascot) were there to slap the hands of the runners as the entered the chute to the finish line. Come to think of it, I would have been plenty warm had I been running in a mascot costume. And for all you non-KC people, I feel I have to point out the creepy truth that the crown that Sluggrrr is "wearing" is actually PART OF HIS HEAD. He's like a genetic experiment gone horribly wrong: a rare lion-crown hybrid with a lumberjack's half-beard.
