This morning was really beautiful (before the heat & humidity rolled in) & I took the day off, so I got outside to take a few photos.
Time to play "Name that Tree!" Any idea what this is? It produces berries that look very much like blackberries (which birds love to eat & then poop purple stuff all over the front of my house). The berries also make it a really bad idea to walk barefoot in my backyard...
unless you like purple feet. Taylor eats them like a little bear.
TOO LATE! I figured it out thanks to Google. It's a mulberry tree, and they're edible! YESSSSSSS!

More "weeds." How did weeds come to be defined anyway? Because these look nice, even though I didn't plant them myself:
I had no idea that these Sedum would flower. They didn't last year when I planted them!
My favorites: the asiatic lilies that I purchased in Columbia, MO last year. There will be many more to come! (I'm extremely sensitive to strong-smelling lilies like Stargazers, but these asiatic types have no fragrance & don't affect me. Yay!)
More groundcover... gone wild!
