This week kicked my butt. I am soooo close to the end of this group project, and while it has been a great experience, I am ready to stop doing TWO full-time jobs and ready to go back to one (which is challenging in itself). I haven't been able to get more than 5 hours of sleep per night this week, so this afternoon I was feeling really foggy.
On my way home I decided to go to the gym, swim a little & then sit in the spa, which always makes me super-tired. That way I could ensure that I wouldn't be lying in bed with my mind racing.
The pool was unpleasantly cold—was the heat off?—so I only swam half my usual distance & then spent twice as long in the spa. While I was there, a guy named Jonathan came out of the sauna & sat on the bench & talked to me while I soaked. He had been watching me swim, and asked me if I was a serious swimmer (which puzzled me since I'm still so new at it!). When I said no, he said he noticed how muscular my back is & figured I must either be a swimmer or a gymnast. WOW! Made my day. He was 6'6" tall, a basketball player, & in great shape himself. I'm not gonna lie, it's always nice to be noticed. :)
