News from the eye of the storm: I already have two shiba inu and two cats but am still trying to collect the bears, three-toed sloth and hippopotamus. LA is unbelievably rainy. It started several days before I arrived and has been steady pretty much the whole time I've been here. Kelley said she's never seen this much rain in the 10+ years she's lived here. And judging from this article, she's right: "Rain-soaked Calif. braces for biggest storm yet"!
Her family room ceiling sprung a leak, fortunately while we were home, so that it didn't destroy her gorgeous and very comfortable sectional sofa. It stopped when the rain slowed, then started again overnight (how glad will she be that I fell asleep on the couch & was there to throw the pot back under it?!)
The rain is supposed to stop after today, so her roofer can get going on fixing it. And her pool can stop overflowing. And, God willing, the sun will come out and warm it up out there so I can actually use the bikini I brought! Judging from Martha's photo, she's not using her bikini in Cleveland either:
