Canicross

   I flipped through a magazine as I waited for my foster pup to arrive at the vet's office yesterday, and learned that I was participating in a sport that I'd never heard of: canicross, also known as "running with dogs." Considering that my dogs and I have run 16 miles together in the last week or so, I'd say we're getting pretty good at it. This site lists races in which dogs can participate, but none in the KC area, unfortunately. Dog-n-Jog is the only one I know so far. And the dog-pulling-assistance aspect of canicross explains our 6:21 mile in last year's race.  ;)
