I met Maureen tonight for a ride on the sushi express (かいてん鮨 at Sakura) and I guess the hum of the little train drowned out the sound (or more likely, our hunger and having sushi constantly traveling in front of us) of the storm. We were surprised when we left to see it was raining, and when we got to our cars and turned around to look at the sky—a gorgeous double rainbow!

And all the way home, I enjoyed the gorgeous sky, with the sunset creating stunning colors on the storm clouds, and the double rainbow visible the whole way. Alas, it was only a brief rainfall. But any rain is welcome, as we've been without any significant amount for so long--the heat and drought are officially categorized as extremely severe.
