Gypsy's memory

I just got home & got the mail, then sat down outside to read it with the animals playing in the yard. I opened up the Humane Society of Greater KC's monthly newsletter to see not one but two donations in memory of my Gypsy girl: one from my sister, which I already knew about, & one from my friend & coworker, Anne, which was a great surprise.
It means so much to me for them to have honored her with a donation, which will no doubt save another pet. And it's fitting that I read it surrounded by my motley crew of rescued, four-legged family members. I am missing Atom & Gypsy so much, but these guys remind me how lucky I was to have had them in my life.
For a brief period I seriously thought I wouldn't get another cat, because it was just too painful to think of losing another. But then I met Kismet and saving her seemed like the ultimate tribute. And she is shaping up to be a very different, yet equally adored, kitty. Here we go again... ;)
