Squirrel Hurdler

   You may recall my post from 10/6 in which I nearly stepped on a hawk during my run. Today was the next installment of wild animal obstacles as I ran through Moor Park towards the end of my LA 10k... I very nearly put my foot on a very fat, very much alive squirrel and had to maneuver in midair to avoid stomping the poor creature. He didn't move! I think he was expecting food; alas, I had none. But at least we had a happy ending: a true Snow White moment in the land of Disney. (Unlike the ending for the squirrel in "the hawk incident".)
