Brett and Sam picked up me, the dogs, and my boat and we headed to Shawnee Mission Park lake to meet Joni and Kippy. Although the highest temperature during the day was above 90° (not that I would know, as I was sequestered in a windowless office as usual), it quickly cooled off in the evening and it was another absolutely perfect night. With the stunning sunset as the cherry on top. I need to bring my swimsuit one of these times… The lake was just like bathwater.
Buying that boat was easily some of the best money I've ever spent. Who would've thought that it would come in so handy in Kansas, and that it would be so beautiful?
