This picture was taken immediately after Rich and I completed an 8 mile run, in about 1 hour 40 minutes, on the mountain bike trails at Shawnee Mission Park. The trails are technical, with lots of rocks and roots, tight switchbacks, and near constant winding up and downhill. It's tough! And it is amazing how good a fontina grilled cheese Panini and a cup of creamy tomato soup taste at Panera afterwards... It was a bracingly cold and windy 39 degrees out there. Thank goodness Panera has a fireplace!
