But you have to see the giant walk-in refrigerator, meat locker & pantries, the floor-standing mixers that are as tall as I am, and the giant rotating steam oven that can bake about 200 pies at once. It's a good thing my high school didn't have this as an option, or I would have had a completely different career path! See my earlier post for the menu. I got the same things... except this time I also ate half of Carolyn's lemon tart! The way I like to eat, I should weigh 400 lbs.

Broadmoor Bistro
Tonight I went back to Broadmoor with a group of women from work: Tina, Carolyn, Danielle, Rachel, Ashley & Maureen. (Yes, I know I was just there 2 weeks ago and the menu hasn't changed, but it was SO GOOD that I wanted another go at it. Besides, none of the others had been there, so it was like going again for the first time!) After a phenomenal dinner (MUST learn to make those lemon-curd tarts!) we got a tour of the fabulous kitchen. Our server (a student) & one of the instructors talked with us for a while about the program, and we got to peek inside the textbooks, Professional Cooking and Professional Baking. The lemon tart recipe is in the baking book. Problem is, the recipe makes EIGHT POUNDS of filling! Think I'll have to figure out another option. I didn't take any photos in the restaurant or kitchen, other than these trays full of cute micro-greens.
