Christmas for pets

   Today Ginny surprised me at work with some FUN crocheted Martha Stewart toys for the shibas (and some equally cute lil' crocheted mice for the kitties!) A pig with the physique of a Sumo wrestler & a cute squirrel with an acorn. This was their response to her:

   Ginny might not even realize how perfect her selections are: Taylor & the pig share similar proportions. And I nearly named Aki after an acorn because she used to eat every one on the sidewalk when I took her for walks. (The only thing that stopped me was that the Japanese word for acorn—どんぐり or "donguri"—sounded too weird.)
