Today I met up with Renee for lunch at BRGR, and left with a takeout burger for Boo. Renée and her family adopted these two sweet pups from the Humane Society of greater Kansas City eight years ago. And she learned this week that tragically, her poor boy has cancer. But he looked SO happy, especially in the face of a fancy hamburger and a short walk on such a pretty day.
It was so great to get out with all of them. Especially Aki, who hasn't been able to walk in over two months. Boo reminded me that no amount of spoiling can be too much; every day is precious. We love you, Boo (and Renee!)
