Touma & more

I just updated one of my earlier posts with some recent toy acquisition photos, mostly by Touma, including these "Little Trickers" that I found at Poptopia.

Feelin' hot hot HOT!

I went to Thai Place in Westport for dinner (after picking up a new set of Touma minis at Poptopia... Thanks, Patrick!) and ordered the same thing I always order: Pad Thai, medium-spicy. The only thing consistent about their heat level is the inconsistency. It came out HOT (although not quite Thai-hot, or I might be posting this from the great beyond!), and though it was super-tasty I had to fight back tears a little. So I drew a warning on my to-go box:
And then I went home to play with my new toys.

But nothing can top the (taller than me) robot display cabinet that my buddy Octavio built for me! He made it in his basement about 12 years ago, when he & Suzanne lived in OP & he was still working with me at Hallmark. It houses dozens & dozens of mostly tin-toy robots collected on trips around the US, and Japan. Best combo birthday / Christmas gift ever!
