Tay is A-OK
The big man is sleeping soundly. It took 36 hours for his stomach to go back down to normal size. Now he's getting only sips of water and small amounts of food. I must find a way to teach him not to gulp them down, inhaling too much air.

Hangin' on the Couch
I am a highly impatient patient, & am terribly bored after these first three days of lying around. Tired of the pain, ready to be back in my feet and running around again. Am I healed yet???

Cats & Dogs Living Together: Mass Hysteria!
I have a VERY strict no-pets-on-the-furniture rule in my home. However, my pets don't seem to have received the memo. I came home from the race today to find this scene: two pets on each couch. Like I had interrupted an informal meeting or something.
I'm especially surprised that finicky Gypsy was content to curl up near nosy Aki, who still delights in chasing the cats a bit, despite my protests.
Lots of pet hair on the couches, but I guess I should just feel fortunate that everyone gets along and that they actually all enjoy hanging out together. Maybe "enjoy" is a little too strong. They're not quite touching, but definitely not recoiling either...

Snow day meets work day
Yesterday and today I stayed home to write year-end performance reviews, rather than fighting the traffic and the snow at least an hour each way to work. And I got a lot done (7 out of 10... YIPPEE!!!) This was the view over the top of my laptop at any given moment, as I sat on the couch, my legs and feet being warmed by 1-3 furry bodies at a time. The animals loved having me at home, and though I was productive (writing is so much easier without the buzz of activity at work), I miss my coworkers. How great is that??
