Happy Birthday + Merry Christmas to Me!

The board that I ordered just arrived, and though these low-light pictures clearly don't do it justice, I am SO. FREAKING. EXCITED. It's even nicer than I remembered! I can't wait to not ride it!!!

Funny 'Cause It's True

The nurse from my allergist's office just called me back; she needed me to answer a few health questions before they could refill my prescription. This is an excerpt from our actual conversation:
"Any heart problems?"
"No."
"Respiratory problems?"
"No."
"Joint problems or arthritis?"
"No."
"Eye problems? Glaucoma?"
"No and no."
"Prostat... wait, I guess I don't need to ask you that."
(Laughing)
"Any Skeletor problems?"
(Long pause. Trying to stifle my laughter.)
"Hmphffm... No." (You might want to ask He-Man that one!)
DAAAAH! YOU HAVE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS!
Now I am forced to refill your prescription.... NOOOOOOO!!!

Under the Influence

The He-man & the Masters of the Universe show opened tonight! And David Coffman was kind enough to take this photo to share with me:
But check THIS out! They turned the whole freaking gallery into Castle Greyskull!!! Ho-ly-Cow! And just for fun, see more cool super-hero-related art from Super Punch! (Love their logo!)
P.S.: My plush Skeletor has been purchased already! YAY!

Random Hallmark moments: George Thorogood

Found this photo while backing up my hard drive; it's the original song card team presenting a framed "Bad to the Bone" card to George Thorogood, who was performing here in KC a couple of years ago. And guess who drew the skulls for this best-selling card? Hmm...

Master of the Universe!

Who knew Skeletor was so huggable? He's headed off to LA for the next installment of "Under the Influence" at G1988 opening 1/8/2010. Huge thanks to my friend Kelly for helping me cut out all those parts!!! He's the buffest plush I've ever created.

random Hallmark Halloween moment

Liz bought this skeleton as decoration for her office. And Chris had to be a smart-@** and say, "Hey look! It's Jen Rarey's skeleton!
Actual size!" Better sleep with one eye open, Chris.
